40 Days of Teshuvah! What's it all about?
Teshuvah is a fairly new thing for many recent Torah Observant followers of Yeshua, so in this article I will explain the significance of the '40 Days of Teshuvah'.
The word 'Teshuvah' is generally translated as repentance. There is a well known prayer recited on the High Holy Days, it says in it that Teshuvah, Tefillah, and Tzedakah, translated as “Repentance,” “Prayer,” and “Charity” can avert the evil decree. This translation is not entirely accurate in that Teshuvah is better translated as “return” and signifying a return to the original state.
Classically, Teshuvah is comprised of three ingredients:
Regret of a misdeed
Decision to change
Verbal expression of one’s sins.
Technically, whenever one sins, one is mandated to do 'Teshuvah'.
As believers in Messiah we should be preparing for our Wedding with the Lamb of God, to be without spot or wrinkle when the Great Shofar ( the Last Trump) is blown and we meet Him in the air for our Wedding. Lets Get Ready Bride Of Yeshua! Here's a little video I prepared to further explain the need for Teshuvah, as well as explain what we as a congregation will be doing doing the 40 Days of Teshuvah.
You are welcome to join us for the 40 Days of Teshuvah. We are having a LIVE Daily Prayer & Repentance time on the Beit Kodesh Online Community Facebook Group starting on 13/08/2018 and finishing on 18/09/2018 from 10:00 am to 10:15 am London, UK time.
If you would like to take part in it, please Register your attendance here and Join our Beit Kodesh Online Community Group here. Once you ask to join you will be asked a few simple questions for the protection and security of other members, we hope you understand.
We welcome all those who want to learn more about how to follow Yeshua and be prepared to meet Him in the air.
I personally oversee the admission of every new member and care for them. I look forward to sharing with you.
